Co-investigators

Anne-Marie D'Aoust, PhD

Université du Québec à Montreal

I completed my PhD in political science at the University of Pennsylvania. My research is at the crossroads of political thought and critical approaches to international relations, exploring the theoretical and empirical dimensions of the links between emotions (especially love), governmentality, security and neoliberal practices.

My main research project, entitled “Marriage Migration and Love Technologies: Understanding the Governmentality of Marriage Migration in Europe and North America”, examines in a comparative way the mechanisms and practices by which marriage migrants have become involved in the security governance of immigration.
